what has been the oldest democracy is now the youngest fascists state. Albeit, not all US america's people, but more than 50% supporting it.

Note that a good chunk of the episodes reported (basically all those directed to punish to political dissent) are done in favour of Israel, not the US. Which adds a twist to the police state- one that punishes dissent towards a different state is something seen only under military occupation.
